Dumb and Dumber America

Lately, I have found myself turning off all media and news due to "utter disgust" for what I see and hear. It's already enough to have to listen to the vitriol and lies being spewed by the McCain Campaign and the GOP right towards Obama, it's absolutely appalling to hear that there are actually people who believe it. Can this really be? I mean, it does not take too many brain cells to do some investigating, or to simply deduce from common sense that the majority of what you hear is pure bull, plain and simple. Take for instance, the McCain Campaign stating to people that Obama pals around with Terrorist, and in fact may be a terrorist himself. If you know anything at all you know that even ordinary American citizens have to undergo a background check to get most jobs or to enter the Military service, and to believe that ones' background is not properly checked by the FBI for the highest job position in the country or even the world for that matter is just ludicrous!

Let's go even farther with that, you can't be in a position of Gov't. such as a Senator as Obama and McCain are without a Secret security clearance, and for that you have to undergo a background investigation, which means all of your personal life facts are investigated for fact. I know this, due to the fact that my backgrond was checked, by virtue of the fact that in order to be a commissioned officer in the U.S. Army you have to be able to obtain a secret security clearance, and all of my family and personal background or contacts were contacted in person by FBI agents, and that was just to be an Officer in the Military.

So!, for people who have stated in interviews on television and over the radio or other media that they beleive that Obama is a terrorist is just plain crazy, it's not possible. Are people really that stupid? Really? Really? It just boggles the mind. Or!, that Obama may not have been born in the U.S.? uhhhh, You do know what a birth certificate is right? If you realy want to get particular, John McCain was in fact himself born outside of the U.S., in Panama, but since it was on a U.S. Military base it is counted as U.S. soil, just as children of Military parents when born overseas are U.S. citizens due to the fact their parents are stationed at U.S. posts therefore deemed U.S. soil.

Or! Obama will raise the taxes on someone such as poor ol' Joe the plumber, who as it turns out is not a plumber or licensed to practice plumbing at all, and in fact made $44,000 last year, and would not feasibly be in order to profit $250,000 as he stated. Common sense tells you that in order to profit $250,000 after taxes, the Average business would have to gross somewhere around $500K. It turns out Ol' Joe must not be too concerned with his taxes as he actually has a tax lien filed against him. It also turns out that his father is related to Charles Keatings' son-in-law, same last name, so isn't this awfully convenient for McCain and his campaign, can you say plant?

What is so funny to me as well as all the lies that are spewed, is that fact that these regular "Joe six packs" as Palin likes to call them, typically state that they want someone that is like them to be in the positions of power so that they will run this country to benefit those such as themselves. Really? Last time I checked McCain and his wife were worth over $100 million. Palin and her Dude came from Middle class, but are also stated to have made over $200k, and while not expressively rich themselves, they are not according to statistics average. Are they really like ol' Joe six pack? Hmmmm. I'll tell you who was raised more like them and probably has more in common with the average Joe. A man who is half Caucasian, half African American, who was raised in a poor, single family home by a white mother from Kansas, during a period of racial strife that would have made it very hard on his mother, especially in Mid-America. A man who despite of all this adversity was able to educate himself and work hard to get educated and to get grades good enough to get himself into one of the highest institutions of education in the world, Harvard, and to not stop there but to continue the top of his class and Harvard law school. A man who did not come from an average middle class back ground, but in fact what would have been deemed lower middle class or impoverished by U.S. standards. The fact that Obama now makes millions is due to his hard work, educating himself and his income as a professor of Constitutional Law and the fact that he has written bestselling books. The fact that you cannot overlook is, he came from a poverty base, so therefore knows what it's like to struggle. McCain? privileged stock, his Father and Grandfather were Admirals in the Navy who I'm sure had influence on getting McCain into the naval Academy, a feat that a normal Joe six packs son in order to be admitted, has to get a Senatorial appointment. McCains performance while in the Academy, near the bottom of the class, would normally be seen as an underachiever.....

What I'm getting at is this. Apparently Americans are dumbed down to the point that instead of checking the facts and educating themselves, they will go with the status quo of whatever it is that their grandaddy or parents taught them. They will listen to all the rhetoric and that sadly includes racism, and vote what they supposedly feel is right. It is beyond me how we as a people, still have those who will not vote for Barack Obama simply due to the color of his skin. I beg all of you to think, think, If Obama were white and McCain were black would you still vote for McCain, or better yet, if both were white how would you vote? I believe that if people are honest with themselves and ask this question of themselves they would vote differently. For all of you Christians out there that espouse your beliefs and the values of Christianity, do not forget one of the major teachings of Christianity, All men in the sight of God are equal. Really? I certainly do not see that in our present political atmosphere. If Palin were the Christian she says she is, I believe she would not spew the vitriol that she does, or at the least, call out those who spew the lies and rhetoric at their rallies. If you are really a Christian and you believe the scriptures as you say you do, you have to call Palin and McCain to the table on those facts.

Now, I do believe we all have the right to free speech and to vote as we please, but with that right, I believe comes responsibility to educate ourselves to ensure we do the right things and make the right choices to protect those inherit rights. America is at what I believe is the most important crossroad ever. I believe the decisions that Americans make on Nov. 4th will forever forge our country's destiny. If we all make the wrong decision we will pay dearly. I challenge you to prove me wrong, show me you are indeed not a Dumb and Dumber America.

Joe the Plumber is a Right Wing plant

It is all over the media this morning. Hey! It's Joe the plumber coming to you live....ok, let's take a look at this dude. Hmmm, from Ohio home of the (Aryian brotherhood) Very Fair skinned, bald (the politically correct bald that is) or is that skinheaded?, and a German name to boot! Oh did I also say Racist to boot? The man stated Obama tap danced....Same racially tinged crap we have been hearing from the right. Sounds perfect for the McCain /Palin base, let's get Mr. Whitebread himself and drum up the fear with the base.

There is also word out there, that the name Wurlzbacher is coincidentally the same name as John Keating's son-in-law, coincidence? The crap just piles on, doesn't it.
